Our Environmental, Social & Governance Efforts

Independent IT strategy goes hand-in-hand with responsible business practices. Beyond our day-to-day work with clients, we use our talents to bridge the digital divide, support local conservation, and back grassroots sport across Yorkshire.

Digital Inclusion & Reducing E-Waste

  • The Goal: Getting tech to people who need it while keeping retired hardware out of landfill.

  • What We Do: Chris Lord founded and chairs Wakefield Technology 4 All. They take retired IT kit, securely erase, clean it up, and distribute to local kids, families, and charities across the Wakefield district.

Technology for Local Wildlife

  • The Goal: Donating our time to help protect local peregrine falcons.

  • What We Do: We handle the technical infrastructure—routing, firewalls, cabling, and live feed connections—for the Wakefield and Ossett Peregrine Projects. It keeps the live webcams running smoothly so the public can enjoy watching the peregrine falcons.

Grassroots Sports

  • The Goal: Supporting young people in building confidence, staying active, and working as a team.

  • What We Do: We’re proud kit sponsors for two great local girls’ teams:

    • Thornes Juniors U11 Girls (Home Kit Sponsor)

    • Huddersfield Town Women’s FC U14 (Kit Sponsor)

Governance

  • The Goal: Operating to the highest standards of cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational hygiene.

  • What We Do: We hold our own IT estate to the same rigorous standards we design for our clients. Our internal IT includes:

    • Identity & Access Security: Enforced MFA, strict Conditional Access policies, and scheduled directory cleansing.

    • Endpoint & Data Protection: Full disk encryption, automated patch management, encrypted backups, and physical security controls across all hardware.

    • Privacy & Human Defence: Ongoing security awareness training and phishing simulations, backed by a strict 7-year data retention and destruction policy.
